I’ve got about a dozen DQs near me and only one serves burgers. I had one pre pandemic and never went back. Reminded me a lot of a Sonic/Checkers burger; it’s fine if there’s nothing else around and you’re craving a burger, but not worth a side trip.

I have had two massively different experiences at DQ and all of them bad aside from 1 location which was beyond excellent for burgers. Idk what it was about the DQ on Sanibel Island but it was amazing.

They used to be way better. Their burgers used to taste like they came straight off the grill. Now, they taste like they came straight out of the microwave.

DQ should be considered criminally negligent for what they call a burger. Come on man. Not a good take. There are 100s of better burgers available in your town, including your neighbors in their backyard.

For my money Habit is a distant front runner, but I’ve always thought DQ burgers were extremely underrated. The menu is also the best. They keep classic combos like mushroom and swiss available instead of making them out to be some sort of rare promos.

The meat tastes like microwaveable Salisbury steak. I’d rather it taste like plain beef, and that only the outside of the patty was seasoned.

Definitely depends on the store: each kind of does their own thing. There’s a great one in Panhandle TX, but one in Childress that I wouldn’t stop at to pee.
